FSC Development Services Ltd

International Trade Partnership Solutions

RUSSIA / CENTRAL ASIA

Russia and Central Asia offer considerable potential for exporters in a wide range of sectors, but companies must appreciate the diversity of customs and business practices throughout the region. This requires extensive market and partner research and an understanding of business cultures and private/public business relationships.

FSC Development Services Ltd has worked on projects and with organisations in Russia, Poland, Serbia, Croatia and Estonia, in sectors including small business financing schemes (EU programme), horticultural processing/exporting, food technology and agricultural machinery rehabilitation; and with the Czech Republic on aerospace and security.

MIDDLE EAST / NORTH AFRICA

The Middle East and North Africa represent a traditional region for UK exporters but one in which care has to be taken in developing genuine business relationships. This requires extensive research and follow up, but once the relationship has been established it can result in long term business.

Egypt and Morocco represent growing and robust markets whilst real opportunities exist in Jordan and the Gulf States, as well as in the reconstruction of Iraq.

FSC Development Services Ltd staff and associates have worked extensively in the region, including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, Egypt and Tunisia, in sectors such as agricultural mechanisation, potato/onion store planning, and agricultural co-operative business development. We have also worked closely with the Near East and North Africa department in UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) undertaking research and development for a website to help UK exporters/investors identify sources of funding and assistance for market development and business investment in the region (www.nenafund.co.uk).
